Which CAD and 3D programs can actually Import .OBJ files?

We’ll (try) to Import and Export of OBJ Files and 3D objects in CAD/3D Software:

Autodesk AutoCAD , progeCAD 2D/3D Professional., SketchUp, BricsCAD and ZWCAD.

ProgeCAD OBJ IMPORT

First, we will take a look at progeCAD, a CAD software from the EU via Switzerland.
To import an OBJ format file in progeCAD, follow one of these methods:

Type “objin” in the command line and press Enter.
Go to Application > Import > Wavefront.
Select Insert > Import…, and under “File type,” choose Wavefront OBJ, select your file, and click Open.

ProgeCAD OBJ EXPORT

To export in OBJ format, follow these steps:

Click the progeCAD icon and select Export > OBJ Out or use Output > OBJ Out.
In the menu, select File > Export > OBJ Out.
Type “objout” and press Enter.
Select the elements you want to export, name the file, and click Save.

AutoCAD OBJ IMPORT / EXPORT

Unfortunately, AutoCAD does not support OBJ format.
You can open OBJ files in another program like progeCAD and save them in DWG format for AutoCAD.

BricsCAD OBJ IMPORT / EXPORT

      BricsCAD Ultimate, like AutoCAD, also does not support importing or exporting the OBJ format.

ZWCAD OBJ IMPORT / EXPORT

        ZWCAD, a program from China, similarly does not support the OBJ format like AutoCAD and BricsCAD.

SketchUp OBJ IMPORT / EXPORT

      SketchUp does not natively support OBJ, but with the FluidImporter plugin, it gains the ability to import OBJ files.
