⚡️ Industry Foundation Classes (IFC) file are used by Building Information Modeling (BIM) programs, such as Autodesk Revit, Graphisoft ArchiCAD, BricsCAD BIM, ARCHLine.XP and ArCADia BIM software.
IFC import and BIM Importer for Autodesk Revit
1. Import IFC or attach an into your DWG

2. progeCAD Import IFC to DWG option
- You can find the import option by clicking on the progeCAD icon, then selecting import and choosing the IFC format

- The attach option can be found in the add-on tab – BIM attach.
- If you do not want to edit the IFC and only want it as a reference model, definitely choose the attach option in in progeCAD 2D/3D Professional.
Import IFC in AutoCAD?
In AutoCAD LT and regular AutoCAD, unfortunately, we cannot import the IFC format. IFCIMPORT command doesn’t work any more in AutoCAD LT nor in AutoCAD including specialized toolsets.
